Yeesh! Glad you're okay, Doug. Very sorry for the cat though. The death of any pet is a tragedy.

ReplyDeletePatrick & Milo--thank you very much. When the flaming bits of wood and plastic started floating down like burning snow and landing in front of my door, it got pretty tense. But thanks to the great work of our city's fire department, it all came under control relatively quickly. We got very lucky.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a cat person, but I couldn't help but be sad about the animals who didn't make it out. They become like family. I can't imagine losing our dog like that.
I noticed I said "animals" where before I mentioned just one...the count is up to three now, sadly.
